He understands

Therefore, since we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Yahushua the Son of Elohim, let us hold fast our confession. For we do not have a High Priest unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who was tried in all respects as we are, apart from sin.

Hebrews 4:14-15

In times of trial and suffering, it’s easy to glare up at the heavens. I mean, after all, if we have a present Creator looking after us, all of our problems wouldn’t be problems. Right?

No. You see, we think He doesn’t care or understand what we go through. It’s so easy to believe that Someone bigger than us has bigger and better things to do than listen to what we go through. How could He understand the vastness of our situation when He sees the whole world as a grain of sand?

But He does understand what we go through.

He groans at our suffering.

The Messiah, His only son, was ignored, falsely accused, humiliated, beaten, pierced…and He too let this happen. And Yahushua, our mediator between us and the Father, knows exactly what it feels like to undergo pain. In fact, the amount of pain and suffering he went through was way more cruel than anything you or I have been through. Right there, on the tree, He was carrying the burden of every broken soul that ever lived and would ever live.

Everyday since then, He has taken hold of our burdens. But we have to be willing to humbly lay them down. There is nothing He can’t heal. Everything you go through is all a part of His plan to draw you closer to Him.

I know it hurts. And everyday I have to catch myself from entertaining the thought of no one caring or understanding my internal struggles. Every day He reminds me that He has my heart in His hands; and as long as I let Him, He will continue to care for it.

Yahweh cares about you, even more than the smallest creatures. You are His work of art, intricate and special. There is nothing too small or too big in your life that He doesn’t care about. Just remember that He has your best interests at heart, even when it doesn’t  feel that way.

Trials are what shape who we are. We’re all pieces of gold continually being refined. Yahweh knows how much fire we can handle. So place your trust in Him. Don’t give up. And remember that He understands more than you know.
