And going forward a little, He fell on His face, and prayed, saying, “O My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me. Yet not as I desire, but as You desire.”
Yahushua knew His time on earth would soon be over. He prayed that the trial might pass, yet He asked Yahweh’s will in this to be done.
This is an act of Faith and Trust in Yahweh. And yeah, neither are easy. In fact, it is easier to say that we trust in Him than it is to actually do so. But look at it this way, even though Yahushua knew that He would not be delivered from the pain He would have to endure, He accepted it and prayed that Yahweh’s will be done.
This is my comfort in my affliction,
for Your word has given me life.
Being at the center of Yahweh’s will is obviously not easy. He doesn’t promise life to be without trials, and He gives us those moments so we can thrive. So when I am discouraged, afraid, or lonely, I run to Yahweh. His word is a soothing song that fills every fiber of my soul. He can do the same for you.
If you are feeling down, out of place, or fearful, just look to Him and find your refuge in His arms. Find Life in Him. He wants to wrap you up in His embrace, and He wants to show you all of His greatness.
Yahweh only wants what is for our good—and I know you’ve heard this before—and sometimes it takes pain to get from where you are to where Yahweh knows you can flourish. It’s hard to look at situations through His eyes when all we can see is darkness. The rule of thumb for this is to keep your head up and keep your eyes on the One who will get you through.
