{My Little Hive of Honey Bees} Be Patient…

“We often equate ‘wait’ with ‘waste’. If we’re waiting for something {or someone}, we think we are doing nothing, which, in an accomplishment-crazed culture, seems like a waste of time. But waiting serves many purposes. In particular, it proves our faith. Those whose faith is weak are often the first to give up waiting, while those with the strongest faith are willing to wait indefinitely.”  —Julie Ackerman Link

Isaiah 30:18—Blessed are all those who wait for Him.

In this world, it’s always the need to hurry. From microwaves, cars, air planes, and anything else that makes things go a little faster. So when it comes the time to be patient, we can’t because we are use to everything going at the pace we want them to. But we are called to wait. Be patient, even if what we are dying for wont get here for a looong time.  Take a flower, for instance. Before it becomes a flower it’s a tiny seed, but if you wait, soon something beautiful comes out of that small seed. If we wait, Yahweh will have something ready for us at the end of the finish line, and then we find that it was worth the wait…

Waiting for Yahweh is never a waste of time.

  1. Isaiah 40:30 Even youths will faint and be weary, and young men stumble and fall,
31 but those who wait on Yahweh renew their strength, they raise up the wing like eagles, they run and are not weary, they walk and do not faint.

  2. What a timely word given! Just a few days ago Yah spoke to me “… be patient and wait…” thinking they were to same work I looked them out, the word patient/patience means to endure or bear without complaining and the word wait actually meant to be hopeful, looking forward for something. Wow, did that speak to my soul, so in this desert place, he asks me to endure the hardship with the hope of seeing changes. Awesome huh ;-) Your post was just another conformation of the work spoken to me… thanks!
